This redwood top archtop plate is carved from a single piece of redwood.  The wood used to be a split shake shingle before being resawn into the blank that became this guitar top.  The back and sides are from a Walut tree felled in my parents back yard when the tree became a hazzard to the structure.  I have a small suppy of this walnut left, some with spalting.
