This redwood top archtop plate is carved from a single piece of redwood. The wood used to be a split shake shingle before being resawn into the blank that became this guitar top. The back and sides are from a Walut tree felled in my parents back yard when the tree became a hazzard to the structure. I have a small suppy of this walnut left, some with spalting.

Here is an archtop with a redwood top, made from an old re-sawn split shake shingle.  The back and sides are made from local California Walnut.  The scale length of these archtops is 25".  To see more arch top guitars click HERE.
